I know this is a dumb question, but for some reason, it’s the only intro I could think of, so I’ll ask it anyway…

Have you ever had a shitty day?

Yeah, I thought so.

We all have.

It’s like this universal club nobody wants to be in, but we’re all members anyway.

Last Thursday, I clocked in my membership.

Woke up feeling out of sorts, you know?

No rhyme or reason, just one of those days when everything feels off.

It’s funny, isn’t it?

How a single off day can throw us for a loop.

I was at the gym questioning my existence between reps.

Then, staring at my phone before client calls, doubting every bit of value I bring to the table. Classic impostor syndrome.

But here’s the kicker: it’s normal.

Everyone has those days. It’s part of the human gig.

So, what to do about it?

My initial game plan was to ‘fix’ it.

I meditated, went for a walk, tried to breathe it out.

But the next day, talking to Carla, our high-performance coach, she asked me straight up: “Why did you try to correct how you felt?”

That hit me like a ton of bricks.

In trying to ‘fix’ my day, I’d drained all my energy. And that’s energy I could have used elsewhere, like being fully present for my clients.

Carla’s advice was gold.

Instead of fighting the feeling, just accept it.

It’s okay not to be your best self every single day.

This doesn’t mean giving up. It means being real with yourself and others.

This doesn’t mean you bail on responsibilities. You show up, but you’re honest about where you’re at.

It’s not about making excuses; it’s about being authentic.

And that authenticity? It’s powerful.

It connects you with others on a different level.

But hey, what about avoiding these days?

Can’t say you’ll dodge them all, but you can make them less frequent.

For me, it’s sticking to routines and small acts of kindness.

Like paying for the next person’s coffee.

It’s a small gesture, but the ripple effect is Huge!

So, here’s my challenge for you:

Next time you’re having a shitty day, don’t fight it. Acknowledge it, embrace it, and move forward.

And in the meantime, find what keeps you grounded. Stick to it. It might just turn your day around.

Remember, it’s not about being perfect. It’s about being real.

And if you need a sounding board or just want to chat, I’m here.

Here’s to embracing the good, the bad, and everything in between.

Until next time,

Justin
