Just to give you an idea of where we are now: In January 2020, our Facebook group was just an idea on paper. Zero members. Zero engagement. Fast forward 11 months, and we were looking at a community of 17,000 members and a revenue of $2.6 million.
But that was just the beginning.
Today, 3 years down the line, things have only gotten bigger and better. We’re not just a Facebook group, we’re a $16M company.
But it’s not just about us.

The Beginning: Our Humble Start…
Back in 2015, I hadn’t even met Chris. We were just two guys, passionate about business, learning from the legend—Mark Hoverson.
Mark was different.
He had this Facebook group, but it wasn’t for just anyone. It was for his clients, folks he’d worked with over the years. And man, it was alive. People were talking, sharing, and growing together.
Seeing that got us thinking. What if we had our own group? Not just for clients, but to find new ones.
By 2018, we gave it a shot and started our own group.
Our First Steps (and Missteps)…
We started with what everyone else was doing—posting every day, sometimes even multiple times, and getting crickets. It was… exhausting.
We needed to generate clients, but how? The strategies out there just didn’t resonate with us.
Then 2020 rolled around, and things started to click. We didn’t need to do what everyone else was doing. We had to do what felt right for us.
So we did three things:
- Growth: Forget organic! We started growing our group with paid advertising. And in our next article (yep, this is a series!), we’ll go into how we did it, and how you can too.
- Content: It wasn’t about posting all the time. It was about posting the right stuff — real conversations, real stories, real results.
- Conversion: It took a while, but we figured out how to turn group members into paying customers. Not just likes and comments, but actual revenue.
Now, it’s 2023. And from where we started, it feels unreal. But the best part? Seeing our clients take the playbook and score their own wins.
